Movember is calling on you – the bankers of Australia. By joining together, growing a Mo and simply having some fun, together we can raise much needed awareness and funds for men’s health initiatives. It’s almost time to award the prizes for both the highest fundraising team and individual in the 2012 Movember Banking Challenge. Totals for both prizes will be taken at 9am Monday December 10th AEDST so be sure to submit all funds before then.

The highest individual fundraiser will take home a Movember prize pack and the top team will take home this amazing trophy courtesy of Bulletproof Networks. Winners will be announced on Monday December 10th.

Wednesday December 5th at 5:00pm is the closing of time for submitting pictures of your end of month Mo.

Send a photo of your Mo to bankingchallenge@movember.com and be in the running to be crowned the 2012 Banking Challenge Man of Movember. The winner will receive a Movember prize pack and will be announced on Monday December 10th.

FUNDRAISING TIP #2:

Dollar Matching. Gift matching is a great, simple way for companies to encourage and support their staff’s Movember efforts. All you have to do is raise a little bit of cash, tell your HR department and they may match, dollar for dollar, all the donations you received! Super easy, right? Best of all, any company that commits to match staff donations of $5,000 or more is recognized on the Movember website with their logo and link to the company site.

FUNDRAISING TIP #1:

Party People! What better way to spread the word about moustaches and men’s health than during the work day? Your coworkers will thank you for calling them away from the cubicle farm to have an hour filled with moustache fun. Set out the donation box, serve some refreshments and play some tunes. You can even consider taking the party to a local watering hole and charge a small entry fee that will be donated to your team.
