My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

For a number of years I have been a supporter of the Movember Foundation and the work it does in Suicide Prevention, Prostrate and Testicular Cancer research.

I hope that with your support we can help those that are in need of support and the tools to get them thru the tough times.

Once again I am teaming up with the guys from Pipecraft Pipelines to raise both awareness and funds for the Movember Foundation.

Thanks for your support.

Cheers

Brendan/Snap Merriman

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

Snap, the cause you are doing this for is very close to my heart, I just wrote a whole analogy, but I beleive I pressed back, it was gone, which details how short life can be, how challenging it can be, I worked with you in 2006 on the DBNGP, took me under your wing I felt, could talk about anything, since then, I managed to catchup with you recently at Waitsia Gas Plant, which was an absolute honour, even though we speak on the old social media, you my friend are one of the most respectful men I enjoy talking to and dealing with, Guys out there, since I met Snap, marriage, 3 children, working away, we all jave life's challenges and choices, we need to speak up, which I have done in the past many times. I've lost so many very close mates to suicide, let's bring the brotherhood and sisterhood back in and talk to someone. We are so loved by our closest, family, friends and work comrades. Affects so many, more than you can beleive, in saying this, I understand when in the black dog cloud of thunder and storms, you don't want to talk, but please for us all. Keep trying, each breathe is worth it in the end, tears are not feom hundreds of people you know personally.
Snap, sent $103 to the cause my friend.
I'll forever promote Mental Health.

They didn’t get it all, I am hanging onto the end of Movember with the Moe.

I’ve been shaved early for a great cause.

Even though I am isolating with COVID I feel that the Movember message still needs to be out there. So look after yourself, your family, your friends and your work mates. Keep an eye out for any changes in the way they are behaving and ask the question are they OK.

101 Week(s) Ago

It’s early days and the Moe is starting to take shape, we are in this one for the long haul to get the message out there that people care.

179 Week(s) Ago

We’ve just completed 12 days of hard growth and kicking goals with ur awesome donations but we still have a long way to go both until the end of the month and in reaching the target of $5000. Please remember that every dollar we collect will help someone at some stage, we all know someone that has struggled with their health at some time or another so please dig deep for all those that may need help in the future.
Cheers

Starting to get a few grey ones popping thru now, great feeling knowing so many people are supporting myself, the team and most importantly this great cause.

180 Week(s) Ago

First day into it and the response has been fantastic, I can only assume those that have donated already really want my face covered up once again.
Thanks to everyone’s best wishes.
