The Movember Foundation funds men's health programs in a number of areas including Living with and Beyond Cancer, Research, Staying Mentally Healthy and Awareness and Education. All of these programs are funded thanks to your hairy efforts and support.

In this video we hear the story of Victorian postie, Matt Williams, founder of the annual Chiltern Mo Ride. A community man at heart, Matt initially established the event to provide locals with the opportunity to have some fun together, while doing some good for men's health. In an unexpected twist, the event took on greater personal significance when Matt's father Robert was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

In his own words Robert said, “The very first Movember ride gave me the impetus to say to Matt, 'son, I’m going to get a digital examination tomorrow'.” Thankfully Robert’s cancer has since been contained, what has persisted however, is the family's changed attitude toward discussing their health with loved ones.

This story is an example of Movember's Awareness and Education program in action and demonstrates the power conversations sparked by the Mo, have to change men's actions and attitudes towards their health.
