2012 GLOBAL SUMMARY
While we continue to receive donations for several months following the campaign, to date Movember raised AUD $135.7 million globally during the 2012 campaign, an increase of AUD $12 million over the previous year.
The funds were raised by more than 1.1 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas located around the world including Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Austria, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Singapore. In each of these countries Movember partners with high quality men’s health charities that share Movember’s vision of having an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
At the end of Movember's financial year (May 1 to April 30) independent accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers audit our financials. The information outlined below will be updated to reflect 2012 figures once this audit is complete by September 2013.
Movember’s cost focus and economies of scale have resulted in a global fundraising and administration cost to funds raised ratio of 8%. This is well below international fundraising standards, with best practice in the range of 15% - 25%. Exceeding best practice by such a significant amount reflects our goal of reaching the highest possible campaign outcome while carefully monitoring costs.
The Australian summary below will be updated to reflect 2012 figures by September, following completion of the independent audit by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
