2010 Australian Campaign
The Australian campaign raised $24.9 million in 2010. The chart below shows how these funds are applied:

91% Allocated to Programs
Of the funds raised 91% has been committed to programs supporting prostate cancer and male depression initiatives. 61% was donated to our men’s health partners - the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (20%) and beyondblue: the national depression initiative (41%) and 30% committed to programs run by the Movember Foundation.

The Movember Foundation programs include:

the prostate cancer Global Action Plan (13%)
prostate cancer survivorship programs (13%)

The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, beyondblue and Movember together ensure that funded programs are world-class and align with our strategic goals.

All funds donated to our men's health partners are restricted and are only to be used for programs. Movember funds are not permitted to be used for fundraising or administration costs not related to programs.

6% Administration and Fundraising Cost Ratio
A number of fundraising and administrative tasks are necessary to run an organisation and campaign the size of Movember. We are proud of our administration and fundraising cost ratio, which in Australia was 6% of funds raised. This is low by international standards - best practice is in the range of 15% - 25%. Exceeding best practice by such a significant amount reflects our goal of reaching for the best possible campaign outcome while carefully monitoring costs.

Costs that are grouped under admin and fundraising include the following:
Credit card processing fees
Systems development and technology to process donations securely
Bank fees
Legal costs
Salaries for the admin support staff
Insurance
Telecommunications and computer equipment
Office rent and general office maintenance costs
Travel
Foreign Exchange costs
