My motivation

Proud captain of a particularly prestigious Movember team, The Moe Szyslaks.

The Moe Szyslaks aren't just growing Flanders-worthy mustaches—we're fighting for men's health. This November, our staches raise awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.

Three out of four suicide deaths are men, with one man dying by suicide every minute globally. Prostate cancer will affect 1 in 8 men during their lifetime and is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer affecting young men aged 15-39.

Whether it's the depression that feels impossible to admit, the worrying symptoms that get ignored, or the "I'm fine" that masks what's really going on, men are taught to tough it out. But catching cancer early can be the difference between life and death and reaching out for mental health support can be lifesaving.

Every donation supports critical programs: mental health resources and crisis intervention for men struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts, research into prostate and testicular cancer, and education about early detection.

When someone asks us about our moustaches this month, we'll tell them why it matters. We'll encourage our mates to get checked. We'll listen without judgment. We'll keep showing up.

Join us in donating, talking and listening.
