Our Motivation

In collaboration with the Kearney House, the newly inducted senior cohort at Christian Brothers High School Lewisham will be growing their mos and raising awareness for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and fighting testicular and prostate cancer. Together, we are here to challenge the stigma associated with young men expressing vulnerability, to spark real conversations for those reluctant to seek-help, and to raise funds for the men out there who need it the most.

For the first time ever, the CBHS Movember team welcomes participants from our younger years into the Move for Movember initiative. These students will be walking or running 60 km throughout the month of Movember. The challenge represents the reported figure of the 60 men who take their own life worldwide each hour. Our younger Lewisham men will be similarly advocating and raising awareness, just whilst with clean-shaven faces!

Our goal this month is to raise $10000. Any donation large or small will help us reach this goal, and would be greatly appreciated.

Week 3:

What a powerful message inspired by Norwich City FC's video during Mental Health Month. It's so important that we check in on all our mates regularly, even the ones who on the surface seem to be doing well.

Just over halfway through Movember and our total stands at 11.7k. Keep up the brilliant work you are all doing boys, we are well on our way of breaking last years total of 13.2k.

Week 2 Update:

Our initial goal of $7000 was reached within 5 days of Movember. Adjusting our new goal to $10000, after another 5 days, the CBHS boys have smashed this target again. A new goal of $12.5k has been set, lets keep this momentum going and see how far we can take it!

Thank you to everyone who has been working hard to raise money, and for those who have donated. It is fantastic to see our Seniors come and work together for such a valuable cause. A special shout-out to Tristan and Kosta leading the way, eclipsing the $1000 mark within the first week.

Week 1 - Team CBHS's ‘Before’ Shot

Thank you to everyone who has already raised money to the cause! 4 Days into Movember and we are already at $5870 towards our $7000 goal. To see so much enthusiasm from our senior cohort is amazing. Huge effort already with setting the tone early with fundraising and leadership. Awesome to see everyone getting around the cause with team CBHS standing at 50 strong.
