My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

5 years ago was a rollercoaster ride for me. Prostate cancer was not in my life plan. A simple PSA test alerted me to the issue, and after going through the operation, i was so grateful for the support of my family, friends and workmates.
After many years of donating to Movember, i joined the team, to help raise the awareness of Men's Health. I thought that one of the best ways, was to walk to all of the stores in my group in 2020, to say thank you for the support.
So i walked to all 12 stores in my Group, clocking up 60km's over the 2 days.
It was also therapy for my own health, and luckily i found it not as difficult as i thought. 3 years ago we named it the "Group 432 Great Big Walk", and ramped it up with about 20 participating over the 2 days. It was a huge success, and surprised a lot of people who also thought it would be difficult.
2 years ago we involved the whole zone, and now we have about 100 walk over the 2 days. A lot of fun and lots of personal bests. This year we want even more to enjoy this event. So if you have walked before, wear your Heritage shirt with honour (you were there at the start), or pick up a new one and come and join the fun.
Day 1 Sunday 3rd Nov.
From - Group 431's Emu Plains to Group 432's Eastern Creek.
Day 2 Saturday 9th Nov
From - Group 433's Greystanes to Group 434's Kellyville
60+km's over 2 days. 15 stores, 4 groups, 1 huge zone

Awesome day 2 of the Great Big Walk. Sunday 20th Movember.
34km in 1 day to finish off the Zone.
The day started at Greystanes and finished at Kellyville Nth. The weather was kind and with 50 walking throughout the day, the stiff breeze kept us cooler.

Saturday 12th November. Incredible turnout for our ramped up Great Big Walk. Emu Plains to Eastern Creek, 33km 9 stores, huge participation with lots of extras dropping in for a store or 2. Can't wait for this Sunday 20th, where we do the 2nd half of our great Zone 3. Greystanes to Kellyville Nth.
