My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Over the last two years, I’ve completed physical challenges each year for Movember. In 2024, I rode 1,000km on my bike, completed 1,000 pull-ups and 1,000 sit-ups within 30 days. In 2025, I rock climbed the same height as Mt Everest (8,848m) to raise money and awareness for Movember. This year, I’ll be trekking approximately 120km round trip through the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp, continuing to raise money and awareness for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate and testicular cancer.

I’m doing this because it is something I’m incredibly passionate about and because I know how important it can be to have something, or someone, that reminds to you to keep going, even when you feel like you have nothing left to give. Some days you might make a huge step forward. Other days, you might feel like you haven't moved at all. But that doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Sometimes simply getting through the day, getting up and trying again, is enough. Progress doesn’t always have to be big, sometimes it’s just one day at a time, one step at a time, one foot in front of the other.

As someone who has battled relentlessly with depression for over a decade, I know personally just how important it is to raise awareness around mental health and suicide. I also want to help raise awareness of prostate and testicular cancer. 1 in 5 Australian men are likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, while testicular cancer is the second most common cancer in young men aged 20-39. Too many men lose their lives every day, and your contributions to this cause can help work towards changing that.

If you aren’t in a position to donate, that’s completely fine. Just check in on a friend or reach out to a mate you haven’t spoken to in a while. You’d be surprised how much that can help someone, even in their darkest hours. I know this because it has helped me immensely when I’ve been at my lowest.

Unfortunately have been out for the last three days with a decent concussion. Back on track today, numbers will be tough by 30th November but still achievable. Main thing that’s increased is the sit-ups, that’s 90 a day now to reach my goal. But I’ll get it done one way or another. Will chip away at it one day at a time.

94 Week(s) Ago

Was unable to complete yesterday’s ride and pull-ups/sit ups due to a slight concussion or decent migraine from falling off my bike Saturday night and hitting my head pretty hard. Doctor cleared me from anything serious today which is great news so I’ll try get back on my bike tonight and get back on track.
