On November 19, International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being. Our theme for 2024 is “ZERO MALE SUICIDE”. Together we can stop male suicide.

International Men’s Day encourages men to teach the boys in their lives the values, character and responsibilities of being a man. Mahatma Gandhi said, “We must become the change we seek.” It is only when we all, both men and women, lead by example that we will create a fair and safe society that allows everyone the opportunity to prosper.

As a Team - MOV~ing Mackay Cricket Club has already raised $ 34,155 in 2024 to be the Highest Fund Raising Team in Australia and 2nd among all countries today. It is Monday the 14th of October 2024, and with the incredible support of the caring communities of Mackay and Whitsundays I have individually been able to raise $ 33,890 with the contributions of 295 generous donors to be Australia’s Highest Individual Fund Raiser for Movember till date again in 2024 and 2nd worldwide. In all the caring communities of Mackay and Whitsundays have helped me raise an amazing $ 678,117 since 2008 for Movember Foundation and I am proud to be their Movember Community Ambassador and Hall of Fame Member. I have covered 348.5 kms (5.808 times the 60 kms) and 168.5 kms more than the 180 kms pledged for the months of July, August and September at 60 km/month as part of my pledge to run/walk 60 km every month during this Movember 2024 campaign from 1st July 2024 till the end of the campaign for the 60 men who die each day globally from suicide every hour that is 1 every minute of every day
