My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

In 2006 I embarked on my first Movember campaign for my Uncle who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was one of the lucky ones to beat it but sadly passed away in early 2018 due to Leukaemia. Since my first campaign I have come to realize Movember is much more than just raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer. It is also about the acknowledgment of depression and the mental health that plague our society today. At its worst depression can make people do unthinkable things the worst of all is to take their own life as this may seem like its the only way to take the pain away but all it does is create a wave of pain to their family and friends. Movember promotes us to reconnect with our family and friends to truly let them know how we are feeling and ask for help when needed. This year's Movember campaign will be my first as a Movember employee and i am thrilled to work for such a great organisation!
I dedicate my campaign to my uncle Wally and to everyone's uncle, brother, father, son, cousin, husband, wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunty and friend! These are the people that shape our lives, pick us up when we are down and are there to celebrate the good times with.
