Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Hi everyone, it’s me, I’m back … but with a twist!

For my many supporters over the years, thank you, you’ve enabled me to raise over $12,000 for men’s health and raise awareness about physical and mental health, reducing stigmas and ultimately saving lives.

Despite this, unfortunately the statistics and the reality of men’s mental health is still far from where it needs to be and suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians between 18-44.

In aid of this, I decided to mix it up and through a friend (thanks Cleaves!) I stumbled across In Pieces Together.

I’ve never had a tattoo so this isn’t just a big step for me, it also comes in a year where I’ve seen two people close to me (love you Tenille and Katie) have had their lives rocked and impacted by the tragedy of suicide, not to mention many others very close to those people who felt that was the only choice they had left.

Today I got my tattoo piece secured and so did my beautiful and amazing partner Tenille, so it was the appropriate time to start this page and raise funds.

We have spent $600 between us, not including our flights to Melbourne, let’s guesstimate that as $1000 and so on, so hence I’ve set the fundraising target for $2000 based on what we’ve invested into this cause and … if you’ve been following along for the last decade … I always match my friends donations $ for $ to the threshold.

When I was in high school a friend took his life and I still remember the ice cold feeling in my gut when I heard what happened and I had no idea about his mental health struggles… My sister had many attempts over the years and I live with a bit of a constant fear of getting this kind of news again… I wish nobody would ever consider this as their only option, it’s so scary and devastating… Thank you for doing this xxx
