My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Mental health and suicide prevention
Men's health

This year, along side Jesse Williams, present ‘The Lakeside Ultra’. A 24 hour backyard ultra styled event taking place on the 24th of November.

Taking place around Lake Pupuke,Jesse will be running 24 laps on the hour whilst I do the same on a skateboard.

We lose 60 men to suicide every hour across the world. In the last year New Zealand alone had 538 suspected self-inflicted deaths. These numbers are too high and it honestly breaks me that they do exist. But life as we know it can unfortunately get hard. We need to be there for each other. Create an environment for people to be able to feel comfortable to speak about what’s going on in their life’s. Catch your friends when they fall, pick them up and help journey with them. And when it’s too big to fight, seek help.

I’d be nothing without the people that picked me up when I needed it most. I’m forever grateful for the community of people I have around me, that support me. I guess the only other thing that gets me through things like this is my skateboard.

That’s why I do this. I skate around Auckland for this awareness because skateboarding and my friends is what gets me through this. The people we have lost, the people struggling, for my own struggling, I do it all for them.
