11 December 2013

This year pitted many a valiant contender against one another in the ultimate battle to find the 2013 International Man of Movember.

International Man of Movember

Drum roll please. We have a winner.

Finally, after carefully reviewing the nominees, the fine gentlemen at The Handlebar Moustache Club UK, international association of Mo aficionados, have made a decision on who should be awarded the highly coveted title of International Man of Movember 2013. The competition was steep and the decision was a tough one to make.

The Men of Movember winners (chosen at our Gala Partés) from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore and throughout Europe were all in contention for the award; but there could only be one winner who had the ultimate Mo and embodied all that is Movember.

We’re excited to announce that the International Man for Movember for 2013 is Tom Rickard of Sweden. Congratulations!

"It just goes to show that moustaches and cheerleading uniforms were meant for each other. My whole life I’ve been told the two could never work together in harmony so today I stand proudly before all those naysayers, as International Man of Movember 2013 and say ‘you were wrong...’

It is fantastic to see my facial follicles finally receiving the accolade they so rightly deserve, but more importantly I am honoured and extremely grateful to be recognized by such such an amazing organization as Movember. To be part of a global movement, a family of mustachioed men & women, changing the way we approach and talk about men’s health is an incredible experience and I encourage one and all to get involved and make 2014 even bigger and better."

For his efforts, Tom will be proudly wear a limited, special edition Pontos S engraved with the 2013 Movember moustache from elite watchmaker MAURICE LACROIX.

Congratulations to all of our Men of Movember from around the world. Enjoy your new found fame and we look forward to seeing you back in Movember 2014, for another year of healthy competition among the best Mo's in the land, and the world.
