My children giggle and complain every time I kiss them, and I'd really love a sleep in, but it's all for a good cause. My motivation has lately been reinforced by the sad news that two men close to people I know have taken their own lives. The culture around male identity in our society affects us in so many ways - some good, and some bad. We must shape it to be positive not only for men, but for everyone. So we need to talk about cultural norms, and not just uphold them without thinking; to ask questions of ourselves and the values we instil in our children. That's what this #movember challenge means to me.
