Our Motivation

The L2F4MH was first thought up in 2019. It is a 14km board paddle, 32km ride and finished with a 16km run, starting at Lorne Surf Life Saving Club and going back and forth from Lorne to Fairhaven Surf Life Saving Club, finishing at Lorne.

It was initially created in memory of Finley Dale who we lost to suicide in 2019, and was designed to create positive conversations around mental health and try and create change.

The first year there were 6 paddlers, 4 riders and 7 runners, this year is the fourth year and there are over 35 paddlers, 20 riders and 30 runners confirmed already.

All of whom have their own reasons as to why they want to participate and create a conversation around mental health.
