My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

The last few years have been profound for me - I'd say since becoming a dad but honestly, it came before that. My partner and I battled fertility issues for a long time trying to fall pregnant. These were some of the toughest times I've been through struggling at times to understand, where even the best logic fell over quickly to emotion. I didn't have to face this alone.

Plenty of others who have been down similar paths and struggled with similar things were happy to be raw, open and honest with me which helped immensely. Knowing I wasn't the only one who's been in this situation, knowing I wasn't alone. That's exceptionally powerful.

After becoming a dad - it's really driven that passion for mental health and the ability to look for warning signs: both in your friends and family, but more importantly, being able to recognize the warning signs in yourself as well - and to speak up, look for help and introduce those strong protective influencers.

I want my children, particularly my son - where there's been so much stigma with men speaking up and being open and emotional, to be able to speak up, ask for help, to cry, to struggle, to check in and to talk.
