My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

Everyday at least 6 Australians will die from suicide and a further 30 people will attempt to take there own lives. While suicide accounts for a relatively small portion (1.6%) of all deaths in Australia, it does account for a greater proportion of deaths from all causes within a specific age group. For example, suicide is the leading cause for death for Australians aged 25-44 and the second leading cause for death for Australians aged 15-24 Australians are more likely to die from suicide than skin cancer, yet we know comparatively little about the process that leads to suicide and how and when to effectively intervene.
