Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I’ve made the late decision to raise money for men’s health and specifically men’s mental health and suicide prevention and luckily that means you’ll all be graced with a seedy beautiful mo in the process.

Mental health and suicide is an extremely sensitive and complex issue which is very difficult to understand. Everyone is aware of the severity of the problem but no one really knows how to help other people when you have never experienced any mental trauma or mental health issues yourself before.

The reality is that we are losing the battle.

Men’s suicide rates continue to increase and on average 45 men in Australia will take their life this week.

Men will attempt suicide in a violent manner which almost always results in death.

Roughly 1 man engages in a mental health service when they need it for every 3 women who do.

The system needs help. Whether it is $1, $10 or $100 your money will go to funding mental health projects and research that are needed in order to reduce these numbers.

The last year of Robert McCarthys life he talked openly and honestly about mental health and the specifics of his medication and dealing with depression and anxiety. There just simply isn’t enough of this.

If you can do it, then I would encourage you to watch his videos and read his posts. Even if you don’t have any mental health issues it can give you a greater understanding on it and could possibly help you, help someone you love.

Please donate whatever you can spare and support my horrendous mo xx
