My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I struggle every day to feel good about myself. My high anxiety is always bubbling just below the surface. Ready to erupt whenever I feel threatened by criticism, or being perceived as too slow, or having my opinions trivialized. My mind is filled with persistent negative thoughts. I try each day to push depression away and to be resilient. I take drugs to manage this situation, but the drugs are only partially effective. If I forget to take the drugs I'm a mess. I erupt with anger, shouting, screaming and threatening my loved ones. Somehow I've managed to avoid being in trouble with the law, more by good luck than good management. My wife and my daughter are afraid of me, my volatile moods, and my anger. They can never relax and trust me fully.
Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. These are men who struggle like I do. Help me stop men from dying too young. More importantly, please help me make lives better for women and girls. Domestic violence is a cancer in our society. Men are to blame. Help men to be better.

Walk with Manneke up to The Pinnacle Nature Park

Manneke really felt the heat even though we tried to go in the morning. He stopped and sat down in the shade about halfway. So we took a shortened route home.

Lots of sniffing. Manneke was very well behaved. But afraid to cross a metal decked bridge. So I had to carry him across.

I'm with you Bruce! Prostate test 2 years ago was negative. Waiting on results from number two. Had two basal cell carcinomas cut out of my right ear in three ops. Right now I count myself SOOO lucky having friends like you (and the whole DEC community). DEC Brisbane is having a reunion lunch Friday 14 December next at the Buffalo Bar. Mary St. Love to see you there -or leave me a message for the staff. Pete Bart is organising....
