My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I will be taking part in Movember again this year, however as well as doing the usual moustache growing I will also be doing Move for Movember running 60km in the month.

Mental health is in the forefront of most people’s minds these days & from a young age we are now educated on mental health & seeking help. I’m sure most of us could name 3 or 4 mental health services off the top of our head, however lots of people are still suffering in silence.

Unfortunately males make up 75% of all suicides, but with everyone’s help the organisation plans to reduce that in the next 9 years by 25%. The leading cause of death for males in Australia aged 15-44 is suicide.

Instead of the usual ‘there’s help out there’, ‘it’s okay not to be okay’ phrases that get thrown around I wanted to promote the idea of people properly checking in on each other. I myself have been guilty of not doing this enough. It’s about understanding the reasons behind why some people don’t talk & hopefully working towards changing that.

If you are in a position to donate it would be greatly appreciated, however I would urge everyone to make the effort to read some of the information/stories on the website, check in on others & ask the difficult questions.
