My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

This year, I want to make a difference and share my own story and struggles with my mental health to help others feel comfortable in conquering and speaking up about their own troubles.
I have been affected by Anxiety since I was 11, I was often bullied or judged upon my appearance, which has led to a long battle with self-consciousness.
Grief and Depression have also been around recently, even today as I write this, I have another Mental Health plan in place to help me get through a recent dark patch. Overthinking can make you into someone you don't know and the distraction solution has always been something I've tried and recently its a strategy that left me coming up for air, as I panic looking for anything to keep my mind pre-occupied. I've had many attempts of my life, even as recently as twice in the last year, sometimes it can be a huge build up or it can be from absolutely nowhere, Mental Health can be so unpredictable, which is why we need treatment, but most of all we need understanding to help not only the men of this world to get through and break down those barriers, but females and all genders. I take this time this year to want to push myself further and further, open up in a series of blogs and videos to help others. This year I aim to raise $2000 but overall I want to make the world a better and more easier world in terms of services for Mental Health, knowledge of Mental Health, so we can all look at this world in 5 years with almost 80% of the population knowing what to do, when a person is having a panic attack or needs help, its time we treat this like it's a broken arm or any other severe injury so we can ensure no lives are lost or deeply affected and we can harness those dark thoughts into something beautiful and rewarding instead.

Congratulations on 12 months of no-alcohol mate. That’s some very strong willpower demonstrated. I’m impressed by your openness and strength in talking about mental health and your personal demons. It’s people like you that help it become normalised in talking about important issues like this. Keep doing what you are doing and growing as a person.
