For the last couple of years, I've gone all out for Movember. From waxing my moustache twice to growing out my hair for a year, only to bleach it Billie Eilish green and cut it into a mullet and last year running a "Fun Run" event through my workplace and raising over $6,700 as a company—I’ve done some pretty bold stuff.
Honestly, I was gearing up to do something big again but found myself stuck, feeling the pressure to top what I’d done before. But I realised that’s not what Movember is about. It’s not about one-upping past stunts; it’s about showing up, raising awareness, and sparking those important conversations about mental health with friends, family, and coworkers.
So, this Movember, I’ll be rocking a less-than-impressive mo and running 60km in honor of the 60 men we lose globally to suicide every hour. The rate of suicide remains heartbreakingly high, especially among men who often feel the pressure to “tough it out” in silence.
Help me make a difference by spreading awareness and breaking down the stigma around men’s mental health. Every bit counts. Let’s help more men live longer, healthier lives.
