In the spirit of Movember and sharing our struggles I'm offering up my own little story if you think it might be useful to you. Otherwise, thank you for donating! I'm excited to be doing this with all you excellent people.

I had my own brush with depression late in my first year at Uni. I'd moved out at 19, got my freedom and a taste of responsibility and did not cope well. It was like a spiral, I let things get worse and worse, which built up my anxiety.

Predictably it eventually blew up in my face.

While I'm lucky enough to have an amazing support network and other opportunities to take advantage of, many men aren't so fortunate. I think that by improving our inner lives we can enhance our relationships with everyone in our orbit, and despite what I told myself, we can't do it alone.
