My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

In January 2018 my father went to the doctors complaining about hip pain. The doctor referred him to have some blood tests and it turned out he had a very high prostate specific antigen (PSA) level (4 times the normal).

It was then quickly confirmed that he had prostate cancer and would need treatment immediately. Thankfully my father has made a full recovery and has been given the all clear, thanks to the fantastic care he received from the NHS.

My father is one of the more fortunate men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer. By complete accident his aggressive cancer was found thanks to a completely unrelated problem. The doctors believed that if he hadn't had those blood tests when he did, it would have been ~3 months until the cancer would have spread. There is still a lot of progress to be made in detection, prevention, and treatment of prostate cancer.

This is why I am taking part in Movember this year. A donation will go a long way and will support my most likely pathetic excuse for a moustache. This will be the second time I've ever deliberately grown a moustache so I'm sure a donation will be worth it just for the comedic factor!

As a bonus, if I reach enough donations, I will keep the moustache for December as well!
