As you can see, I’ve uploaded a photo of me back in my younger footy days when I was in my prime (just kidding) in under 16’s, and also a couple from my first footy season back last year. It’s easy to see I’ve gotten older and a lot slower, but I was still really happy to give footy a crack again especially for the mental health side of things. A lot of people take exercising and endorphins for granted, thinking if you’ve exercised a lot in your life it’ll just stay with you and naturally produce itself even when you rest from sports. If you’re not exercising then your Endorphins won’t be activated anywhere near as often as normal. I learned that last year when I started playing Football again. I chose to help battle my mental health problems with a return to the game I love, and it helped out like you wouldn’t believe, I felt confident, stronger and I was loving myself more than I ever had before. Enough about me now, let’s get to the most important part of why I’m doing this:
Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.
A little donation can go a long way, a little exercise can go a long way as well. I’ll be doing 60km for the 60 male suicides that happen each day, every day, primarily because I’m pretty hopeless at growing a Mo and parties really aren’t my thing, so I thought why not exercise? You may not know a male who has committed suicide, however it doesn’t mean you haven’t heard about it or seen it televised somewhere. It might be an epidemic but it’s not to late to start helping, this is my reason and motivation and I hope you can find it in your heart to help me get to my goal.
Massive walk at work achieving my exercise goal, stand goal and move goal all in the one day, whilst notching up 8.5 KM’s for the day! So happy with that and so happy with my progress for this Movember!

Nice little booster on my way to 100km’s after successfully hitting my 60KM mark! Thanks again to everyone for following and believing in me! Gonna do my best to hit that second goal of $100 before November finishes!

Massive day of walking at work smashing out as many KM’s as I could and walking absolutely everywhere even if I was offered lifts, really making me feel good exercising and sweating, massive chunk off my total and I couldn’t be happier!

Another solid day of kilometres at work and slowly but surely dragging that total down. Been so much fun walking more and staying out of my car more, hopefully I can get this total!

Another little one! Can’t wait to get in the gym and smash a big workout so it can cut some off these! Still happy with how much I’ve worked so far though!
Massive day of Standing and Walking all through night shift. Busy night and walked as much as I could! Smashing out 4.7km on track isn’t as easy as you’d think with bodgy knees and ankles like mine on ballast and train tracks
Cricket training was amazing! Smashed it out and nearly died, most of my steps and km’s were from cricket training. Trained hard and got picked for the side so I can’t complain!
