My motivation

I'm raising funds and awareness this Movember for all the dads, brothers, sons and mates in our lives. I need your help. Please donate to support men's health.

My personal experience with cancer was, thankfully, quite brief and episodic.
“That mole feels different. I’d better get along to the Doctor ASAP”
“I wonder if that little plug of skin in the jar is a problem?”
“We need to take some more around the margins, just to be sure. No problem”

It still meant that I was excluded from donating blood for 5 years, which I have been doing since the 1980's. That actually made me feel very guilty - that me not looking after myself properly (literally just staying out of the sun) might impact other people's well being.

MO GOVERNMENT & COUNCIL CHALLENGE

Moustaches have been shaved, leaderboards have been closed, and eternal glory has been achieved.

It is my great honour to announce the Top 5 from this year’s Mo Government & Council Challenge.

Collectively, this community of 1,376 Mo’s from 245 teams across Australia raised an incredible $434,129. Just unbelievable.

This is where change is being made. You are the people creating a better future for men’s health. So from the tips of our moustaches to the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you for the wonderful impact you’ve made.

These funds go directly to lifesaving programs, helping men live healthier, longer lives. Every one of you has made that possible - thank you.

The leaderboards don't close until the 12th of December, so time for a final push and share those Mo Spaces far and wide! Could there be a late shift in the top 5?

In the last week of Movember and just over 50 Kilometres into the 60 Kilometre MOve (Walk/Run) Challenge. Don't usually attempt exercise that doesn't involve a bicycle, so that's been different and just tipped me over 400 Kilometres (Cycle, Run, Walk) for the month.

So I've personally got a lot more out of Movember than just a lip decoration.
