My motivation

Last year was my first year of fundraising for Movember with the PLAN E team, believing it was a great cause we could support as a group.

Since then, my motivation has become much more personal, having being diagnosed in February this year with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. Since then, I have undergone chemo and radiation pre surgery, surgery in July to remove the cancer and create a permanent stoma, and I am now undergoing mop up chemo. Luckily, the cancer was contained, and surgery was successful in removing it, so my prognosis is very good, and I feel blessed to be under a wonderful health care system that has supported me through this journey and saved my life. My motivation is to raise funds for cancer research in general, but bowel and rectal cancer in particular! Donations of any value would be very gratefully accepted.
