"Just one more day"... "It's gotta be better than this"... "It has to get better soon"... "We got through yesterday, I guess we can get through today".

These are the words I told myself most days for nearly 18months while I struggled to battle the lowest point in my mental health journey.

Thankfully through all the negative self talk and extreme moments of darkness these words managed to ring true.
I was fortunate that in a search for something... Anything... I stumbled on people that I could relate to with my struggle, people I could open up to and break down to and I was able to gain the help I needed to put me on the trajectory I'm on now.

It took nearly 3 years to slide deeper and deeper into the darkness after I lost my Dad, my super hero, before I'd realised how helpless I felt. With the expectations I held on myself as a partner, friend and new father I was to ashamed to speak up and ask for help.

Fortunately I found someone I could relate to and I began to seek the help required and I'm now supported by a group of like minded men.

Unfortunately for so many men in Australia they don't find that. They don't feel they can relate. They feel that in fact they are alone. That they can't speak up, ask for help and be guided to better days.

This is so far from the truth but when your deep down in a dark place, objective thinking and the truth just doesn't ring true.

This is why when I founded Dawn2Dusk Australia we HAD to be more than just another brand. More than just a supplier of working dog equipment and a country apparel brand.
Our purpose had to be much deeper than this, a vision to create serious change surrounding the stigma of mental health especially for men.

This why I reached out to the team at Movember to seek permission to create a joint logo design to bring that awareness to the forefront of our minds.
