My motivation

This year, I will be shaving down the beard and running 60km to raise funds for Movember. Whether it’s your dad, brother, son or mate - we all have men in our lives who either have, or might in the future, suffer from prostate or testicular cancer, or struggle with their mental health.

I’m doing it for my Grandad, who to me, embodies what Movember is all about. Grandad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021. But thanks to conversations with family and friends, he made the call to see a doctor early enough that they were able to stop it dead in its tracks.

Although Movember is in part about raising money, even just growing a mo might be enough to spark one of these conversations with someone in your life. It’s these sorts of conversations that can, and does, save lives. I’m incredibly proud of my Grandad, and very proud to be a part of the hairy month to try and help other men out there live longer and happier lives.

Dear Lachlan
Your moustache is cause for much celebration in my country. Almost as much celebration for Australia beating India.
Please keep up the good work.
