My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

It's that time of year again.

Movember. What's it all about?

I've known the burden of mental health, I've seen people lose track of their physical health. I've been there and I've had friends and people close to me go there too.

So Movember for me is more than an excuse to grow a Mo. It's a time when I ask the question is it possible to look after your health in this crazy, busy world?

I want to show that it is possible to get moving, to eat healthily, to not drink alcohol. I want to show that blokes don't have to be lads.

This Movember I will run 60km over the month, which represents the 60 males who take their life every hour of every day across the World After 60 is complete I pledge to run a half marathon and for every km over 60 I run I will donate 2 dollars to the Movember cause.

But there's more. I pledge to do so whilst abstaining from alcohol. It's an enigma, a drink that can excite and destroy. A drug that is underestimated and abused.

And of course I will grow a Mo.

All this I will do regardless of donations, but a little motivation won't hurt. The Movember charity does great work to assist the lives of Men who find themselves on the brink.

Help me meet my donation target and show that Men's Health doesn't have to be in the too hard basket.

Thanks

Previous year's posts

Moustaches have been shaved, leaderboards have been closed, and eternal glory has been achieved.

It is my great honour to announce the Top 5 from this year’s Mo Government & Council Challenge.

Collectively, this community of 1,376 Mo’s from 245 teams across Australia raised an incredible $434,129. Just unbelievable.

This is where change is being made. You are the people creating a better future for men’s health. So from the tips of our moustaches to the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you for the wonderful impact you’ve made.

Keep on changing the world,
Josh from Team Movember

Go Harry! Nice sunnies :)

Some serious movement in the rankings, and even more serious funds raised, with the Government and Council Challenge cracking $200,000 for 2023!

These funds go directly to lifesaving programs, helping men live healthier, longer lives. Every one of you has made that possible - thank you.

The leaderboards don't close until the 12th of December, so time for a final push and share those Mo Spaces far and wide! Could there be a late shift in the top 5?

It's not over 'til it's Mo-ver,
Josh from Team Movember

Wow oh wow. Halfway through and we are blown away by your support.

After only 15 days, the Mo Government and Council Challenge is sitting just shy of $100,000 raised. This community is well and truly changing the face of men's health.

Give yourselves a huge pat on the back and keep up the incredible work. A big couple of weeks of goodness on the way.

Inspired by you all,
Josh from Team Movember

Government and Council Mo's of Australia, we are LIVE!!!

Just like that, Movember has begun. So shave down those upper lips, get those running shoes on, and start shouting about the amazing cause that is men's health.

We've got 425 of you incredible people signed up and you've already raised an incredible $13,500. And it's only the 1st of Movember?!

So share those Mo Spaces far and wide, keep encouraging your colleagues and community to sign up, and keep on changing the face of men's health. Thank you for everything you're doing.

It's Mo time,
Josh from Team Movember

Hey Harry,

I'm Hannah, I'm on the team here at Movember HQ, thought I’d drop by to say a big hairy thanks for flying the flag for men’s health this year. We are so stoked to have you on board!

You’re smashing your fundraising goal, all in the name of a really important cause – to help men live happier, healthier and longer lives. That Mo is looking absolutely spectacular - keep it up legend. Every dollar helps tackle mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer, so thank you again!

United we Mo
