My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

We did 2023 so nice, that we are doing it twice, well again...

This Movember I’m continuing to support mental health awareness and breaking down those barriers so everyone can feel comfortable to share their story.

As uncomfortable as it was to remove that ‘bearded barrier’ I've had in 2023's Movember campaign, it was a success, and a really good point to start having these conversations, especially in the workplace. Initially I only wanted to achieve $200 as contribution. Times are tough for everyone, and any little bit helped, so when we ended last year finishing on $1,300, it was really humbling.

This year, I was contacted by the Movember team earlier this year and they asked me to join their Workplace Ambassador program, which is a huge honour and privilege for me.

From a personal standpoint, breaking the stigma of mental health, regardless of gender, and having these conversations is what this month of moustaches is all about. If we start by just asking a couple of questions or saying ‘hey’ to someone in the office, it can make all the difference.

If you can spare a couple dollars or miss out on an office coffee and donate, would be well appreciated.

With less than 2 weeks to go with this year's Movember campaign - and we have hit $750 for this year, smashing this years goal of $500! Thank you to everyone who has managed to donate so far and Torren Woolley for your support for my campaign as well.

Our ACCC/ Australian Energy Regulator group total has hit over $2,600 - thank you to Daniel Ramos, Christopher Grunwaldt, Eva H for your support running our team's campaign. A big thank you to Joshua Hawthorn and What's It like - www.whatsitlike.com.au - for being a major contributor to my campaign (also look our for a collab dropping later this month on our chat about Video Games, Mental Health and how they have help us build a community around helping out your mates).

If you are able to donate this year, I will be matching every donation from now until the end of Movember 2024 to donate to our friend Leigh Morris' gofundme as well - https://lnkd.in/gmsVz_sV

Spare a soy cap today and donate for a great cause.

We are 10 days in and already at $645 for this year, bringing my total Movember to over $2000, across this and last year. Thank you for everyone who has donated so far.

Even though we try to keep these channels open to talk, it doesn't always go the way we hope and unfortunately we did lose someone earlier this month.

For the remainder of my Movember campaign, I will be matching any donation made to provide support to Leigh Morris' family and their gofundme as they try to navigate this next part of their life. Their link is here if you would like to provide support as well https://www.gofundme.com/f/leigh-james-morris

If you feel like you need to speak someone, feel like you can't or think someone might be needing support - please speak up Beyond Blue is a great support service to contact if you don't think you have someone close, or need someone outside to talk - 1300 224 636
