My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm doing MOvember for my 6th year in order raise funds and awareness for mens mental health.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been incredibly tough for so many people’s mental health, mine included. I’m grateful for the support and and help I received in 2020 and for the ongoing love and support from family and friends, many men are not so lucky.

I am also very grateful that I have been able to maintain my career designing and delivering major public events whilst the global events, tourism and hospitality industries came to a crushing halt and so many jobs lost.

This November I’m shaving off my beloved beard, revealing baby faced Brad and will just grow a MO (no beards allwoed) in NOvember.

Help me stay MOtivated whilst I grow a dirty MO this NOvember by donating to me and supporting MOvember.

Moustache season is open!

Today the month of Movember (the month formerly known as November) begins.

In preparation for the start of Movember and in line with the rules I have completely shaved my beard off and re-introduced baby faced Brad to the world.

For the next 30 days I will just grow a moustache raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention sharing my progress along the way.

This month I will also be leading a team of “HoMO’s” - more information about what we are up to in the coming weeks.

The “Sydney HoMo’s” Movember team have just seven days of moustache growing left which means just seven days left to reach our fundraising target of $5,000.

We are a collective of men from Sydney’s LGBTQI community who separately decided to participate in Movember and have come together as the “Sydney HoMo’s” team.

We are doing Movember to raise mental health awareness, to help reduce stigma around mental health and to support everyone who experiences living with a mental health condition.

Any and all donations are welcomed!

Day 17 of Movember - This morning I have been reflecting on my own mental health as today marks four weeks since I left a secure federal government job. What I thought was a career defining job just didn’t work out and was impacting my physical & mental health. Fast forward to today and I’m drinking less, eating better, lost some weight, I’m more social, happier & generally smiling every day. A friend reminded me “The best job in the world isn't worth it if it's killing you”!
