My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

What's My Motivation?
After 18 years as a Mo Bro, Movember is now part of my year and part of my life.

I continue to see so many people including myself, family and friends struggling with mental health and other health issue each year and it just seems to get tougher and tougher so anything I can do to help through being there to support someone either in person or through raising money for research and other means of support is all the motivation I need.

My target is $2000 again this year but $4000 would mean I pass $30,000 in funds raised so if you can help, please do, even if it is just $5-10 dollars, it all adds up.

Cheers and happy growing
Peter

Well as Movember 2025 closes I would just like to thank everyone for their very generous donations. This year we have raised $2167.00 (still able to donate for another week), that means the total raised over 18 years as a Mo Bro is $28,429.00. If you have donated this year or one of my longtime supporters give yourself a pat on the back. Thanks for the support it means a lot to me. Remember there is still time to donate. Link is below.

Well last day of Movember 2025 is here, we are just shy of $1700 raised so still have just over $300 to go to get to our $2000 target. Big thanks to everyone that has donated so far and to anyone thinking of donating you still have a week to go before donations close.
This fundraising is so important for a number of reasons and as a reminder I have had two conversations with guys that have had family members get diagnosed with prostrate cancer including one whose brother passed away as he didn’t get a check done so please if you can Donate to my fundraiser via https://movember.com/m/peterbraid68?mc=73

Well been a bit slack on the posts. Have just been way to busy but today I had to go get my regular bloods done so no better time to send a reminder to all you guys (and girls) that there is no shame in going to the doctors to get anything, even the most minor issue checked at the doctors. Go and get your bloods done regularly, it doesn't hurt (well maybe a little when you have deep and hard to find veins) but that check 5-10 minutes could save your life. Make sure for you guys it includes the PSA test and if there is some change make sure you push your doctor to look into it more. Though I did find out today and this pissed me off a bit that if you have a PSA test within 23 months of your last one you have to pay for it! What a joke, one of the biggest killers of men and we get stung for keeping an eye on our health.
Anyway big thanks to everyone that has donated so far, we have passed the $1500 mark and are just under $500 short of this years target. Please if you can donate to mine or any one that you know that is growing for the cause and at the same time book in to get a check up....

Well Movember 2024 you sucked! I thought for awhile there I might have needed to make a withdrawal from the services I have donated to over the years! From Credit card hackings to staff going walkabout because it was hot! To losing access to domain names (which meant emails) for 3 days to a number of other issues you really pushed the limits. But hey we are still here, still kicking (maybe even more grumpier than I have been) and still trying to reach targets like our fundraising target for this year.. Common peeps, I know funds are tight but it is a great cause and we are not even halfway there. You still have a few days to go so please dig deep and at least get me to the platinum club which is $1500. Surely we can at least get to that mark?
Anyway, fully understand if you can't. Big thanks to those that have donated so far. Will hopefully see you again next year.

On the downhill run to the end of Movember 2024. So far we are just over half way to our target this year of $2000. Big thanks to those who have already donated. Really appreciate your support. Still heaps of time for those that haven’t donated yet. Remember any amount small or large helps. Enjoy what’s left of the weekend.

Well half way through Movember already! I must admit I have been struggling with Mo-tivation the last few months. It has been a long tough year. But I need to get off my butt and post more to support the wonderful people that have been so supportive already. We have now cracked the $800 mark and well on our way to our target of $2000. Thanks heaps to those that have donated and thanks to those that follow my journey and donate year after year. Promise to do another post over the weekend.❤

Well a big week with us hitting the $1000 raised mark for this year thanks to a very generous donation. That also takes us to $23,780 raised over the years of being a Mo Bro.
I know the years seem to get quicker as we get older but this one just seems to have been a blur and talking to a lot of people a tough one mentally. I know it has been a tough one for me and I am looking forward to a break albeit a short one over Christmas, it will be needed with a big start to the new year planned (watch this space

Well what a battle it has been to get some posts up and chase donations! We still have time but might struggle to get to our target this year. It has just been so busy and each time I think about posting something else happens and I don't get to do one. Any way would be great if we can get to the $2000 mark so if you can please donate. I really do appreciate the support

Just over half way through Movember 2020 so time to check in on all of you to see how you’re going? It’s been a tough one for a lot of you. Have spoken to a few people that have had a few health issues so please make sure you get a check up if you feel unwell! Have heard a few stories of people struggling mentally! If that’s you reach out for help. Let’s try to end the year on a positive note...

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
