My motivation

https://moveberbumblebvs-queenbfundraiser.vercel.app
For the past 20+ years I have been involved with Movember, raising funds with Mo' votes, Mohawk Colour Elections, in-office desk massages, morning teas and bake-off competitions, a crazy sock sale, and one year I even auctioned off a hand carved Jack-o-Lantern for Halloween but this year we're doing something a little different.
This year my wife (Jo-Ellen Wood-Rich) and I are taking on the World's Toughest Road Half Marathon which is held in Hobart, Tasmania.
The event is difficult enough by itself but, to add to the competition this will be a head to head battle as we make the journey from the start line at Wrest Point Casino (44m elevation) to the finish line at the pinnacle of kunanyi / Mount Wellington (1270m elevation) 21.1km away and in the clouds
Jo (aka Queen-B) will start the race at 7am with the walking event; and hour later I (aka BumbleB) start the run event at 8am
Can I catch her before the road runs out, will she stay ahead the entire race?
I have built a website to provide updates, donation links, event description, and some interactive feature like race predictions, banter and encouragement messaging, and I am working on live Race Day telemetry and a live support portal where you can watch the race unfold and send messages directly to us as we race!

20 years of involvement, stop men dying too young

Hey Andy, this is Rob from Movember. Wow! 19th campaign - next year is 20! People like you fuel our fire. Love the creativity and the blue and yellow mohawk, and great job leading your team. I also see that you have a really personal connection to cancer - thanks for sharing, for being a champion for others, and for flying the flag for men's health.

Setting a more modest (and yet truly ambitious) target to raise $1411 for Movember - a figure that represents the men we will lose before the end of the year

Calling in rainchecks
https://mobro.co/sbrbumbleb
Earlier this year when my race bike was stolen th response was incredible. At the time many suggested a Go Fund Me page etc but my response was - "it was just a bike, there are more worthy causes than my ride" "I'll be calling on you to help out soon enough"
That worthy cause is here & the time has come to call in those rainchecks
For the 16th year I am involved with the Movember foundation, raising funds for & awarness of Men's Health & I need your help
My bike is long gone, but the need to discuss mental health, remove stigmas, & fight cancer is more relevant every day

Statistics tell us that 82 Australians will be attended to today due to a suicide attempt. Eight Aussies today will be lost to suicide, six of them will be men. Speak up, ask for help, check on your mates, be present, empathetic and ready to listen. Help is available and it starts with a conversation
