eBay is a proud supporter of Movember. Rob Hattrell, Head of eBay Europe and executive sponsor of the company’s Global Movember recognition, said: "We strive to create and maintain vibrant and thriving communities."
eBay’s global Movember recognition is hosted by ACCESS, eBay’s Accessibility Community of Inclusion. Throughout November, eBay is partnering with the Movember Foundation to raise funds and awareness for some of the biggest health issues faced by men: mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
Alongside encouraging Movember activities, eBay will focus on the broader topic of mental wellness for all. For far too long, mental health issues have been stigmatized, leading people to avoid seeking crucial mental health services. To help create positive change around perceptions of mental health, eBay is bringing focus to this topic and helping people to feel comfortable talking openly and honestly. Specifically, the eBay ACCESS team has planned events around mental wellness in this year’s Movember program, including mindfulness workshops, journaling sessions and more, each designed to help eBay employees focus on their wellbeing.
ACCESS is also partnering with eBay for Charity to support Movember through its local sites in the US, Canada and the UK. People who buy an item on eBay during the month will be able to include a donation with the purchase. If people list on eBay US or UK they are able to donate some or all of the proceeds from the listing to Movember.
