Some of our Australian Cricketers are sporting some Seriously Good Mo’s to show why they are growing a Mo or setting a Move challenge this Movember. Join our Australian Cricket Mo Bros – Mitch Starc, Matt Wade & Aaron Finch – and Mo Sistas – Alyssa Healy & Ellyse Perry – in the fight for men’s health to stop men dying too young.

I’ve been doing Movember for a few years, the cause has had a great relationship with Aussie cricketers for a while now and the iconic Cricket Mo has been around for even longer. We’ve all had a few teammates and friends who’ve been through some health issues and this month is a great chance to create some awareness for men’s health issues – both mental and physical – and hopefully raise some funds for much need help in that area as well. Plus, it’s a bit of fun to get involved and grow some hair on that top lip to annoy the wife!

There’s a number of really special men in my life, from my grandad, my dad, my brother and my husband. Knowing how important their health and wellbeing is to me and making sure they’re tracking along well, you realise how important it is to raise awareness and do your bit for men’s health. I love being involved, to be able to do my bit for Movember as a Mo Sista and take on a Move challenge getting active to raise funds and awareness. It really is a great initiative.

For me, Movember means getting out there and helping raise awareness for men’s health by taking on a big Move challenge and swimming 30kms in the month. It’s as much about us – the Mo Sistas – to get out, get active and help spread the word raising awareness as it is for the guys to do your part and make sure that men are looked after. It’s a pretty fun month with the guys growing whacky moustaches and an interesting month for me in our household with Mitch having a Mo, but I’m interested to see how far he can get this Movember.
