When it comes to raising funds for prostate cancer, research often gets the limelight, but what is equally important is funding programs for prostate cancer survivors. These survivorship programs are critical to aiding treatment decisions, providing follow-up care and continued support to ensure all survivors have a meaningful quality of life.

In June, Movember held it’s first ever Survivorship Summit. This summit brought together our men's health partners from around the world and facilitated a global approach to collaboration for survivorship programs. Check out this video to learn about the challenges of survivorship and how we are all working together to make a tangible impact.

When it comes to prostate cancer, diagnosis is the first step in a man’s prostate cancer journey; survivorship is the next. Movember has brought together prostate cancer experts from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the United States for two days of intensive collaboration and knowledge sharing. With the collective aim of meeting the critical needs of prostate cancer survivors, our experts worked to identify key gaps and weaknesses in the current state of prostate cancer survivorship and discuss solutions that would have a dramatic impact on the quality of life of these men, their families and care-givers.
