The hairy efforts of Mo’s around the globe during Movember made for some exceptional moustaches, but what impact are all these Mo's making?
Rewind to the beginning of Movember 2012, as fine moustaches started to sprout the world over, so too did conversations about men’s health. At work, in the gym, on the street and across social media – those hard grown moustaches literally sparked conversations in every corner of the community. 30 days on, no fewer than 2.72 billion conversations were generated both online and face-to-face.
But that's not the end of the story. All this Mo chatter inspired some serious fundraising, with nearly 4 million individual donations being made to Movember in 2012, resulting in a record-breaking AUD $135.7 million being raised. We’re incredibly proud of our Mo community’s hard work, which will ensure Movember’s continued support of men’s health programs worldwide.
From real moustaches to real outcomes, the Movember community is truly helping to change the face of men’s health. For this, we salute you… all 1.12 million of you.
