Our Motivation

Everyday our front line Fire & Emergency services personnel are directly exposed to trauma and this impacts our men's health.

Globally, on average, 60 men die by suicide every hour of everyday. This number is important to us as we are a male dominant industry, that typically find it hard to talk about our feelings and struggles.

This Movember Mo Bros and Mo Sisters from the local fire and emergency services are aiming to raise funds and awareness for all the dads, partners, brothers, sons and mates in our lives by supporting a charity that is changing men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help stop men dying too young.

Any donations you could make would be amazing, we are doing our bit to raise awareness, break the stigma and keep our blokes safe.

Cheers,

Mackay Fire & Rescue
