Our Motivation

We all have some males in our lives that we care about and or love. A father, uncle, fatherly figure or a son. A brother, boyfriend, partner, husband, A co-worker, mentor or person that identifies as male.
I want you to think about that person, just take a moment of silent reflection and picture them. Remember that moment, you know the one, the moment that gives you that slight grin. Remember the time you said I love you or thank you. Remember the time when you looked to them and you were happy.
Whomever that male was, whatever that moment was, that male meant or means something to you.
Now as you think about that male, take in that Men’s health is in crisis. Men are dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
For a growing number of men - Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Australian men. 24,217 Australian men were diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022. 3,507 Australian men will die from prostate cancer in 2022 and testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men.
43% of Australian males have experienced a mental health problem at some point in their lifetime and in 2022 Males accounted for 75.6% of deaths by suicide.

Dear diary,
