Our Motivation

On the 5th of November 2011, Ronald ‘Ronny’ Cox passed away after a difficult battle with prostate cancer.
Ronny was a dedicated husband, father and athlete but like so many men he did not always priorities his health concerns and unfortunately, this cost him his life.
On Saturday the 25th of November, we the “Sons of Ronny” team, are hosting a Movember Palmy fun day starting at 10:30am, held out in front of the Palm Beach Surf Club.
For a minimum gold coin donation, you par-take in the following:
- Paint on your own Mow or get a friend too.(if you dare!!).
- Board Rescue Races with friends and family.
- Part take in a Mow/Head shave or even a MO-Hawk...?

You wouldn’t know it by looking at us (wink) but Ronny led an incredibly active life and loved to compete. Ronnie was an avid runner, swimmer, cyclist and surfer. He was a member of the Maroubra SLSC, then North Curl Curl and after moving to Queensland was a member and volunteer of the Palm Beach SLSC for 8 years. Ronny was also a coach and committee member at the Burleigh Heads Swimming Club for 15 years. In his later years Ronny competed in multiple triathlons from short course to Ironman distance.
Please come along on the 25th/11 to remember Ronny and lend your support to this excellent cause.
We together, are stronger than me. If we replace our expectations with appreciation, there is so much to be grateful for.
