Target: $1,800
raised $13,973 since 2013
My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

This Movember I'm once more on board with a team of absolute MoBro winners! Keen to raise more much needed funds to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health. My dad succumbed to cancer, a close family member lives with depression, and eleven blokes I know (sadly the number grows each year) have had serious prostate issues including removal to save their life...please help me stop men dying too young by donating & sharing my page thanks.

Heartfelt thanks to all donors, local & global, who helped all MoBros & MoSistas raise sufficient funds to measurably improve the health of men worldwide, reduce male suicide numbers, improve the support for men going through mental & physical health challenges, and help with early detection of prostate & testicular cancers so men can live longer and be around for their loved ones!! xxx

Hi Bryan.

I'm one of the designers at Movember (I co-designed the app) and every-now-and-then I like to drop in to see what the community is doing.

That Mo is coming in really nice!

I'm super impressed with your fundraising efforts. You’ve raised so much! And you've been at it since 2013. I'm truly humbled

RFA is proud to advise that for every new home loan or refinancing our brokers write for MoBros & MoSistas, we will donate 25% of the upfront and trail commission (paid by the banks to us) to Doc Bandi’s team of MoBros!!

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT AND BRISBANE TODAY WILL SHOW THE WORLD OUR WEATHER IS GREAT FOR A GOOD SPORT SPECTACLE COMPARED TO OTHER VENUES IN AUSTRALIA. Men’s Mental Health has been close to every Queenslander’s heart this year with the untimely death of our own PAUL GREEN. Let us remember him for the next few games at the Gabba and wear BLUE to highlight our support for this cause by going against our souls at the HOME OF THE MAROONS. Movember looks at mental health through a male lens, focusing on prevention, early intervention and health promotion.
BY 2030 WE WILL REDUCE THE RATE OF MALE SUICIDES BY 25%.
HELP US GET THERE.

PATRONS ATTENDING THE T20 WORLD CUP GAMES AT THE GABBA ON 1st Nov 2022 between Afghanistan and Winner of Group A & England vs New Zealand to wear BLUE to support Men’s Health, Mental Illness and Suicide Prevention at the HOME OF THE MAROONS. Queenslanders willing to go BLUE for one day to raise the profile of Mental Illness and Suicide Prevention will go a long way to support the cause. C’mon Qld we can show the world we are a passionate sport loving state that has lost too many of our mates to Mental illness and Suicide and are willing to go against our souls to go BLUE for a noble cause

Self-examination/familarity & early detection are key to addressing possible testicular cancer concerns.....follow the simple guidelines in the attached poster & 'know thy nuts'. Get a checkup from a medical professional if you have any concerns!!

Life can throw us curveballs. Yet even when things seem tough, there is a lot we can do to look after ourselves and others. That is why it is important we provide reliable, expert information to help men cope and live happier, healthier, longer lives –no matter what life throws at us. Men sometimes are not comfortable reaching out and opening up about life’s challenges – or they think they will be burdening their friends if they do.

A reminder of 5 things worth knowing about #menshealth from Movember Australia

281 Week(s) Ago

L (2018): Lung Cancer
What are the symptoms of lung cancer?
Lung cancer does not always cause symptoms, and may be found incidentally during a chest X-ray for another condition.
Some common symptoms of lung cancer include:
Blood in sputum coughed up from the lungs – this is called haemoptysis
A new or changed cough
Chest and/ or shoulder pain or discomfort
Shortness of breath
Hoarseness
Unexplained weight loss/ loss of appetite.
A chest infection that doesn’t go away

L (2018): Lung Cancer
What is lung cancer?
Lung cancer occurs when abnormal cells in one or both lungs grow in an uncontrolled way. The lungs are part of the body’s respiratory system. They are made up of a series of airways called bronchi and bronchioles that end in tiny air sacs called alveoli.

These statistics are alarming and the only way we are going to change it is by talking about it as a community and changing attitudes and perceptions and putting in place programs that execute change in modern day life.

Step 5 – Seek help from your doctor physiotherapist or continence nurse if you..

Wet yourself, even a few drops, when you cough, sneeze, laugh, stand, lift or do sports or other activity
Have an urgent need to pass urine, have a strong feeling of not being able to hold on
or often don’t get to the toilet in time
Pass small amounts of urine, often and regularly. That is more than 8 times per day
in small amounts (less than about what a tea cup holds)

More nuggets of wisdom on overall bladder health, shared from our own Qld-based urologist Doc Bandi:
Step 4 – Look after your pelvic floor muscles

Keep your pelvic floor muscles strong with pelvic floor muscle training
You can get a Pelvic Floor Muscle Training leaflet for Men, or for Women
See your doctor, physiotherapist or continence nurse to check that you are training your muscles the right way

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
