My motivation

THE MO-ST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

For lots of blokes, Movember is an opportunity to let it all hang out when it comes to facial hair. The Aussie fast bowler, the Boxcar, the Walrus to name a few.

For me, not so much.

Even though I turn 37 next month, the ability to grow a moustache (or body hair in any form) has always eluded me. So why take part in a competition that exposes this drastic failing?

To continue the phenomenal work done by WAPOU and Bodie Green to raise awareness for all of those people who’ve ever wrestled, or are currently wrestling, with poor mental health or cancer related illness. Two things we’ve each been touched by in some way, shape or form.

We must each Stand T.A.L.R (Talk, Ask, Listen, Refer) and face the challenges of poor mental health:

TALK - If you are the one who is suffering. Find someone who you trust, and can confide in, and get whatever is on your chest off.

ASK - If you’re concerned about someone, simply ask. This takes huge balls but may be the most important question you ever ask.

LISTEN - Sometimes the best gift of all is to simply give someone your ear, not advice.

REFER - Refer that person to help, every time, everyday, every way.
