My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention
Prostate cancer
Men's health

With history of mental illness in my family and having suffered personal struggles in previous years, along with family loss and experiences with prostate cancer this campaign is close to my heart.

As an educator it is important to be a role model, to raise awareness and to be a change maker in this very important space - particularly for the young men who are held to societal pressures and suffer invisibly or openly from mental health struggles .

For Movember I'm back on board for the 14th year, as a lifetime Movember Hall of Famer and raising funds and awareness to tackle the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health.

Help me change the face and future of men’s health.

Edu Mo's - It is I, Ollie, your folliclely blessed hairy Godfather. Here to report back on the results of the 2023 Movember School Challenge!

It is because of you that this Movember was the Schools Challenge's most successful ever! This year we had over 1150 more School Mo's than last year, 200 more school communities participate in the month and lastly you have collectively raised over $785,000 for critical men's health projects, that's $100,000 more than last year! The leaderboards have closed and the results are in. A big thanks to you all for all of your efforts and advocacy this year.

Have a very happy holidays and hopefully catch you Mo's next year!

Take a deep breath and take a bow. Because it’s official, you made it!

You’ve been with us on the journey to change the face of men’s health and we couldn’t be more grateful.

It is because of you that this Movember was the Schools Challenge's most successful ever! This year we had over 1150 more School Mo's than last year, 200 more school communities participate in the month and lastly you have collectively raised over $720,000 for critical men's health projects, that's $50,000 more than last year! But we aren't finished yet School Mo's.

A reminder that leaderboards officially close at 3pm AEDT on Tuesday December 12. Donations can still be received after this time but this is the cutoff to crown our 2023 Movember champions in the School leaderboards!

Keep sharing those photos on the Movember Schools Challenge - it really is so inspiring seeing what you Mo's are up to in your school community! Challenging outdated masculine stereotypes and creating an environment where young people can be vulnerable and their true authentic self.

From the tips of our Mo's to the bottom of our hearts - THANK YOU!

We have 1 week to MO!

The moustaches should be coming in strong by now, your MOVE goals within reach, any events that you have are close to fruition and bringing people together. There has been so many phenomenal stories come out this year from the schools community and please know you are inspiring this generation of young people to be the generation of change and stop men dying too young.

I'd love to see some more snaps of how your school community is getting along this Movember so please share them on this page.

7 Day's to MO!

We are 17 days into the Hairy Season and boy are things heating up!

We have 629 School Communities all across Australia taking part in the hairy season this year. That is 150 more Schools than last year and testament to the passion of the school community in opening space for honest conversations. Bravo!

Mo’s - If you haven’t yet, it’s time to start planning your end of month Mo celebrations, Move events or any opportunity that brings you and your school community together to continue setting the scene for young people to be vulnerable and the power of conversation.

It ain't Scary being Hairy,
Ollie

THE MO IS CALLING

With only 9 day's to Mo - now is the time to ensure you are inviting members of your school community to join in your School's Movember team! Do that by sharing your team's Mospace URL far and wide!

Share your WHY behind the moustache, inspire colleagues to break out the runners and take part in the Move Challenge or you could host a school casual clothes day - with funds going towards your school's Movember efforts.

Feel free to post updates on this page as Schools from all across Australia answer the call of Movember this year.

Raise funds. Save lives.

Mo 22 - those Mo's will be feeling furrier, your legs fitter and your events ready to pop off!

With Moriah College out in front on the Schools Leader board competition is heating up for second spot - with the Farrer Year 12 cohort currently edging out one of my favourite team names 'Who let the Mo's out' from Trinity College Gawler.

Regardless of the fundraising figures - keep parading that furry top lip, moving your MOstest, starting conversations and keeping your communities connected. Your are all doing such a fabulous job and all of us at Mo HQ are so grateful to be your Roadies.

Ollie
