The Movember community generously donate their funds, faces and time to help Movember change the face of men’s health. But where does the money go?

Where The Money Goes

We know that with great moustaches comes great responsibility and we take that seriously.

Of the funds raised in Australia in 2012, 93.5% has been committed to programs supporting prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. A number of fundraising and administrative tasks are necessary to run an organisation and campaign the size of Movember, however this has only required 6.5% of the funds raised. We’re very proud of the high percentage of funds committed to programs, which is well above international best practice of 80% of funds raised invested in programs.

Movember's vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men's health. Globally, we are committed to supporting three of the biggest health issues facing men:
•    prostate cancer
•    testicular cancer
•    mental health

Funds raised by the Movember community in Australia and around the world are invested in programs that directly support these causes in four key program areas including:
•    awareness and education
•    living with and beyond cancer
•    staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness
•    research

All programs are facilitated by the Movember Foundation and are in line with the Movember Board's strategic priorities. To learn more about Movember's men's health initiatives and funding cycle visit FUNDED PROGRAMS.

Our decisions to fund programs are shaped directly by our vision, values and goals. Movember has stringent and formal policies around the programs we will fund and we’re privileged to work with experts and world-class organisations that respect and adhere to these principles.
