Our Motivation

To change the face of men's health The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health is encouraging as many of our mob to participate in Movember (as mo-bro's and mo-sista's) to help raise awareness of the importance of health - particularly young men's mental health. For us, this is part of a long term campaign to improve the mental health of young men in our community, raise awareness of the issues and make a start to changing behaviour.

Stop Men Dying Too Young

Movember is saving and improving men’s lives through projects focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

It only happens because of people like you.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that the shirts are running smaller than usual this year. So please make sure you order a size up from what you would normally order.

Thanks team, keep up the great work!

My deadly shirt arrived today

Hey Mo Bros and Sister. Almost $10K raised and it is not quite halfway for this month. Keep the effort going? You are all doing a great job. Keep asking the question. Most people are just waiting to support you and this important cause.

Moving forward towards the target

Hi Team, deadly work so far as we kick off our 2019 fundraising efforts!

As you know, the first 100 people to join Movember All Stars and raise/donate $50 as part of the team, will get a DC Movember jersey!

Once you’ve done this please email deadlychoices@iuih.org.au with the following details:
- Your shirt size (please note this year’s shirts run small so order a larger size than normal)
- Email address
- Postal address for mailing Movember shirts

Thanks team :)

What a great morning at Stigma Cutz. The "Shave Off" was a huge success. It set the tone of our Movember All Star Campaign this year, this month. Lots of conversations, lots of encouragement, lots of support, lots of stories and lots of mateship. Check out a young John Gill, Trent Lyon, the furry one Nathan Appo, the grey one Charlie Jia, Brenton Bowen and our Shave Off organiser Deon Bird. Well done guys.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
