Our Motivation

The team at Brighton Ambulance Station are participating in Movember to help break down the stigma associated with men’s health. It is okay to speak to a mate. It is okay to seek help. It is okay to see your GP/Psychologist.

As health care workers, we understand the importance of accessing health care for both our physical and mental health. As it stands, the stigma associated with men accessing health care creates a barrier. An outdated barrier that needs to be changed. A barrier that if removed, could prevent a health concern deteriorating into a 000 call.

For this reason, your local ambos at Brighton, will be raising funds and awareness, to help breakdown the stigma and barriers that stop men accessing health care, to create an environment where it is normal to seek assistance and to help men live longer, happier and healthier lives.
