My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention
Testicular cancer

This year I will be doing both “move” (60 sit ups a day, amongst other exercises) and “mo” especially for Mental health (the 60 statistic) and physical health are important for everyone and this month is for raising awareness of the importance of having a yearly check that the body is all good, as well as supporting health of the mind, to keep people alive and well.

Day 28. Movember on my mind. Too many great men have been lost to suicide. Thinking of Chris Cornell, as it is his Soundgarden bandmate’s birthday today (drummer, Matt Cameron). Cornell’s close friend and godfather to 1 of his children, Chester Bennington, committed suicide a few months later, on Chris Cornell’s birthday.

Went on a boat in Sydney Harbour on the 11th for a friend’s 40th. Safety in the Sun and saltwater! Was a nice change a great to see friends - had been a whole year since seeing most of them!

1,000 push-ups, a health check, several work events, other exercise and raised more money than I did last year, so overall this Movember has been very successful! Thank you, 2022!

Day 30: Finished the day with 50 push-ups and therefore finished the month with a total of one thousand push-ups this month! Which is 1000 more than I did last month, or the month before that…or the month before that! I did do 25% of the push-up challenge back in June or July, but hardly any or none between them and November, so I have achieved something this month, which I plan to continue every month ahead.

Day 29: Preparation (cooking) and attendance of Movember Lunch Event took priority over doing push-ups before breakfast and lunch. Did 15 push-ups this evening. Had a great day!
